Riads in Sidi Ben Slimane, the peaceful north of the medina

Sidi Ben Slimane lies in the north of the medina, around the zaouia of Sidi Ben Slimane el Jazouli, one of the seven patron saints of Marrakech. It is a residential neighbourhood, away from the tourist routes, where you mostly meet local residents.

People choose a riad here for peace and authenticity. The Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Marrakech Museum are about fifteen minutes’ walk away, Jemaa el-Fna square about twenty minutes, and taxis easily reach the northern gates.
