Riads in the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter

The Mellah is the old Jewish quarter of Marrakech, founded in the 16th century near the royal palace. Visitors come for the Lazama synagogue, the Jewish cemetery and the spice market, and Place des Ferblantiers marks its entrance.

It is a lively, endearing neighbourhood, ideal for discovering local life while staying next to the great monuments: Bahia and El Badi palaces are a few minutes’ walk away, Jemaa el-Fna about fifteen minutes.
