Riads in Mouassine, in the heart of the medina

Mouassine is one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in the Marrakech medina. About ten minutes’ walk from Jemaa el-Fna square, it is built around its mosque and 16th-century fountain, next to the dyers’ and slipper souks.

It is the right choice for a first stay: everything is within walking distance, Le Jardin Secret and Dar Cherifa are close by, and the lanes hide many cafés and designer shops. The riads here are often old houses, carefully restored, with a patio and a roof terrace.
